CaO ADSORBENT FOR REDUCING METAL CONTENT OF Fe, Mn, AND Zn FROM PET-SET WASTE-WATER

Primary Effluent Treatment-Secondary Treatment (PET-SET) is refinery waste-water. PET-SET waste contains hazardous substances, namely Fe, Mn and Zn metal ions. The novelty of this research that it looks at the CaO adsorbent to reduce content Mn, from Waste-water. This research’s aimed using adsorbent. was prepared golden snail shell by previous researchers. Concentration before treatment were 8.6 mg/L, 8.52 mg/L 9.28 mg/L. conducted through adsorption method variating mass contact time determine optimum condition in absorption ions analyzed ICP-OES instrument. instrument quite well used for multielement analysis. In study, applied adsorb previously treated samples which reasearcher as a catalyst transesterification reaction. It reported absorb 0.2 g 20 minutes with an effectiveness 100% .
